The spooky vibes of Halloween celebrations – a typically American tradition – have been making their way across the entire globe over the last decade or so. The best thing about Halloween is obviously dressing up in a costume, but accessories are also key. Let’s find some good watch and costume pairings to get you in the holiday spirit.
1. Bell & Ross BR 01 Laughing Skull
Halloween is the perfect time to unpack your scary Grim Reaper costume. Nothing beats the scare factor of a good skeleton or skull, especially when it comes to children who are trick-or-treating. If you decide to dress up as Death personified, there is no better timepiece for your wrist than the Bell & Ross BR 01 Laughing Skull.
The first generation of the BR 01 Skull was introduced in 2009 by French company Bell & Ross in honor of American paratroopers in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, who jumped down to Normandy on D-Day. Moreover, the brand also chose a great combination of the skull as the dial and a guilloché case, making the timepiece look stunning from up close. Of course, the skull really steals the show.
2. Richard Mille RM 26-02 Evil Eye
Another brand that is known for making some amazingly creative timepieces is Richard Mille. Back in 2015, the brand introduced the Richard Mille RM 26-02 Evil Eye. The legend of the evil eye dates back centuries, but many watch enthusiasts have linked this particular watch to the Eye of Sauron from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy directed by Peter Jackson.

The “dial” of the Evil Eye tourbillon watch is filled with red flames that are true works of art. At 9 o’clock, you can see the evil eye peering through the flames. The layered nature of the dial and movement immediately stands out. While the movement is visible in the background, it doesn’t take center stage, because the flames and eye are much bolder in terms of color.
The perfect Halloween costume for this watch would obviously be Lord Sauron. I must say, it might be tough considering this would require wearing full body armor, but there is no other character that better fits with the Richard Mille RM 26-02 Evil Eye.
3. HYT SOONOW DROP THREE
Another great watch for Halloween is the HYT SOONOW DROP THREE. This watch also features a skull on its dial, but it’s less scary than the Bell & Ross. The HYT watch is part of the SOONOW series, all of which feature skulls and HYT’s ingenious fluidic time mechanism. The best feature of the watch is the dial with 937 perforations, 313 of which are filled with 18-karat rose gold pins. Together with the fluidic time mechanism, these pins form the skull. The eye sockets function as the power reserve indicator and a continuous seconds subdial. The skull’s teeth are also made of 18-karat rose gold.
This is truly an amazing timepiece that would suit many Halloween costumes, but I can totally see it working with a costume from Daft Punk’s Around the World music video. The vibe of the song and video perfectly match the style of this watch and would bring a lighter note to the Halloween season. Take your pick of which costume to wear from the music video – they’re all perfect!
4. ArtyA Silvery spider
Our last perfect Halloween pick is the ArtyA Silvery spider. ArtyA is known for its wacky creations that feature all kinds of remarkable artwork. One of their most famous series is the Son of Art series.
The latest creation in this series is the Silvery spider. This stainless-steel watch features a silver spider web on the dial with a big spider that holds the hour and minute hands. Another remarkable feature is the case itself, which gets its shape and finishing from a high-voltage lightning bolt. Thus, it’s not perfectly round and has a rough finish.
An earlier model in the series is a timepiece that features an actual wolf spider embedded into the dial; it’s both remarkable and scary. This watch features the same steel case that was hit by a lightning bolt. The best costume to go with an ArtyA Spider watch would probably be Captain Jack Sparrow for a man or an evil witch for a woman.
